Naval engineering & ship repair worldwide
Located in the port of Vilanova i la Geltrú, our Barcelona shipyard serves as SYM Naval’s European headquarters. It brings together our Technical Office and industrial capabilities in a single ecosystem, allowing us to design, plan and execute projects with complete in-house control.
From complex new builds to critical repair operations, the shipyard offers shipowners a strategic base in the Mediterranean defined by European engineering quality, fast turnaround and precise, certified execution.
Private berth inside the port, providing secure access and immediate alongside operations.
Fully equipped dock prepared to accommodate vessels up to 170 metres in length.
Home to the Technical Office and R&D teams leading our electric and hybrid vessel developments.
Specialised in emergency afloat repairs and rapid technical stops with minimal downtime.
From our Barcelona shipyard, we design and build fully classified vessels tailored to the operational needs of harbour and near-shore fleets. Our experience includes tugboats, MARPOL units, pilot boats, barges and 100% electric vessels developed to support zero-emission port operations.
Every project is engineered using a complete 3D digital model, allowing us to validate arrangements, integrate eco-efficient systems and optimise construction workflows from the earliest stage. The result is a shipbuilding process that delivers vessels with high performance, safety and long-term reliability.
Our Barcelona shipyard supports a wide range of repair operations, from emergency interventions to planned technical stops. With direct access to our private berth, we perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, piping and steelwork repairs alongside, without the need for full dry docking.
This setup allows shipowners to resolve critical issues quickly and maintain operational continuity across the Mediterranean. Every intervention follows certified procedures and is executed by multidisciplinary teams focused on safety, precision and reliable delivery.
